Julie Chrisley is starting over, eeeeethis time with a show that’s all about her.
Since she and her husband, Todd Chrisley, were pardoned by President Donald Trump for their fraud convictions earlier this year, the couple now has a new lease on life.
The couple served just over two years of their respective sentences before being released.
Well-known for their reality TV show Chrisley Knows Best, Todd and Julie have already made their return to reality TV with The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, which aired in September and documented their return home.
However, Julie now has her sights set on having a show of her own.
In a December 17 episode of their podcast, “Chrisley Confessions,” Todd and Julie spoke about what’s next for them, individually and as a couple.
“You’ll start shooting the show, segments for that, 26 of them, in February,” Todd said, before announcing, “And I will be producing!”
“No, no, no, no. I’ve not heard this, and I’ve not agreed to this!” Julie pushed back. “This is my baby, it’s not yours.”
After some back and forth between them, Julie remarked that they could talk about his role as producer “at a later date.”
However, Todd then revealed that he had already been doing some research to help her shape the direction of the show.
“I have been doing research, I’ve been doing deep dives into the, like, comments that people, you know, put on social media and whatever, and so many people want you to do segments of what did you cook while you were at… ‘summer camp,’” he said, referring to her time behind bars. “So I think that you do that. I think that you do some of those things.”
“I will incorporate some of that into it,” Julie agreed.
Todd then asked Julie what she wanted the overall tone to be for the show.
“I want it to be real, I want it to be things that I actually cook, and I want it to be things that everybody else can cook,” she shared. “I don’t want it to be crazy ingredients that people have to go out here and search and find. I want the majority of it to be things that if you cook, that you would have it in your pantry to cook.”
Julie also explained that she was aiming to have a range of recipe types.
“I wanna do ideas for weekly meals, I wanna do special occasion meals, yeah, all that,” she shared.
This is not Julie’s first time doing a cooking show.
Back in 2019, she had a short-lived show called What’s Cooking with Julie Chrisley, which is still available to watch on Peacock.
While the Chrisleys have confirmed the show will begin filming in February, they have not yet announced when the show will air or where it will be available to watch.
