In a red carpet interview with Variety, posted by Virgin Radio Montreal on December 2, Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp revealed a surprising confession about his music tastes.

When asked about the strangest thing about himself, Schnapp paused before admitting that “I don’t love The Life of a Showgirl,” referring to Taylor Swift’s most recent album.

He then looked panicked saying quickly, “I know that’s such a hot take. Ok, take it out. Never mind, never mind, never mind.”

Schnapp then clarified his love for Taylor Swift’s work, saying, “I love ‘Opalite’ and ‘The Fate of Ophelia.’ It’s just that one song… is that crazy?”

He then further revealed how big of a fan he is to the interviewer saying, “I’m a huge Swiftie, I swear. ‘Enchanted’ is my favorite song ever. But I just don’t like that one.”

Fans quickly reacted to Schnapp’s confession on social media, noting how nervous he seemed while admitting his unpopular opinion.

One fan wrote, “He looked so terrified after saying that 😂.” Another commented, “He’s forgiven ✋🏻 we know he’s a Swiftie.”

A third reminded everyone that it’s okay to have personal preferences, adding, “He’s so scared hahahaha. As a Swiftie, I don’t think anyone has to like every SINGLE song, everyone can enjoy what they like, and that’s okay ❤️.”

Interestingly, Schnapp isn’t the only Stranger Things star connected to Taylor Swift.

Fellow co-star Sadie Sink appeared in one of Swift’s most famous projects, the All Too Well: The Short Film, showcasing her acting chops in the critically acclaimed music video.

Another cast member, Millie Bobby Brown, met Swift in 2018 during her Reputation tour. The two posed for selfies backstage. Brown, who was 14 at the time, shared one of the photos on social media, captioning it, “Look what u made me do.”
