The final week of November has an eclectic group of films leading the popular movies chart on Netflix.
Only one of the new additions is a Netflix original, and it seems likely to be an Oscar contender for the streamer in a few short months.
That film is among Watch With Us‘ picks for three of Netflix’s most popular movies that you need to watch now.
The rest of our picks include an action thriller by a famous director as well as an older family film that’s crossing over from another streamer.
‘Ambulance’ (2022)
We’ll say this for Ambulance: It’s definitely a Michael Bay movie. Ex-Marine Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) desperately needs money to pay for a life-saving operation for his wife, Amy (Moses Ingram). That’s why Will turns to his adoptive brother Danny Sharp (Jake Gyllenhaal), a career criminal. Danny lines up a job for Will as a getaway driver for a bank robbery that goes horribly wrong.
To escape the police, Will and Danny commandeer an ambulance and take a paramedic, Camille “Cam” Thompson (Eiza González), and a wounded officer, Zach Parker (Jackson White), hostage. That brings the LAPD down on them as they try to get away. As Cam fights to save Zach and her own life, Will and Danny clash over the fate of the hostages. And that argument may get bloody.

‘Train Dreams’ (2025)
Netflix may have another awards season contender with Train Dreams, director Clint Bentley‘s adaptation of Denis Johnson‘s novel of the same name. Joel Edgerton stars as Robert Grainier, a solitary man who is disturbed by the things he sees while working in railroad construction. Robert breaks his solitude when he meets and marries Gladys Grainier (Felicity Jones) and starts a family with her.
Even in the early 20th century, life on the frontier is hard for Robert and his family. That’s before he’s rocked by a tragedy that threatens to completely derail his life. Robert has been a strong as he could be given the circumstances of his life and upbringing. But this may be the thing that destroys him as he attempts to determine what happened to the people he loved and hopes for a reunion that may never come.

‘The Sandlot’ (1993)
The Sandlot was a 20th Century Fox movie, but it’s been owned by Disney for the last six years and largely been parked on Hulu or Disney+ in that time. Disney is currently loaning out this period coming-of-age story to Netflix, and sure enough, The Sandlot is a hit again, a mere 32 years after its initial release in theaters.
In the summer of 1962, Scott “Scotty” Smalls (Tom Guiry) is the new kid in town, and he’s having a lot of trouble fitting in. Benjamin Franklin “Benny” Rodriguez (Mike Vitar) takes it on himself to invite Scotty to join his local sandlot baseball team, including Hamilton “Ham” Porter (Patrick Renna) and Michael “Squints” Palledorous (Chauncey Leopardi). As the boys bond over their shared love of baseball, Scotty makes a costly mistake that forces the team to confront “the Beast,” a large dog that has claimed several of their baseballs over the years.
