    Being on a health journey during the holidays can be full of unwanted temptation.

    So if you’re wanting to continue those healthy eating habits during the holidays, here are some top tips for enjoying the season without feeling guilty.

    Focus on whole foods first.

    If you’re wondering what to put on your plate first, start with whole foods like roasted vegetables, grains, and potatoes. Filling up on nutrient-rich foods helps you feel satisfied and leaves less room for extra indulgences.

    Make protein a priority.

    Fill that plate up with plenty of protein options first! Protein keeps you full longer and helps prevent those mid-meal cravings for sweets.

    Eat slowly.

    ​​Take your time with each bite, no matter how good it tastes. Chewing slowly and paying attention to flavors gives your brain time to register fullness, helping you avoid overeating.

    Wait for seconds.

    Use smaller plates and bowls. 

    Smaller dishes naturally reduce portion sizes, helping you enjoy everything without going overboard.
