While Heinz is best known for its ketchup, the brand is now adding a new condiment that’s sure to fly off the shelves.
On November 18, Heinz teased the launch on Instagram with a photo of its squeezable gravy and the playful caption, “The One Where HEINZ Makes a Gravy for Leftovers.”
And fans are already buzzing. One wrote, “This is pure genius.” Another added, “Essential for all our Thanksgiving leftovers!”
Heinz’s new Leftover Gravy is a rich, smooth sauce designed to elevate Thanksgiving leftovers. It’s also a nod to Monica and Ross Geller’s legendary “Moist Maker” sandwich from Friends.
According to Heinz, this gravy “turns leftover turkey and bread into the ultimate post-Thanksgiving indulgence.”
“Thanksgiving is all about the feast, but the day-after sandwich has its own devoted fans,” said Jamie Mack, Associate Director of Brand Communications for Heinz U.S. “With our Leftover Gravy, we’re celebrating those who can’t resist a nostalgic, gravy-soaked sandwich.”
“The Moist Maker,” from Season 5, Episode 9, The One With Ross’ Sandwich is the stuff of leftover legend. Monica sneaks in an extra slice of gravy-soaked bread in the middle, which Ross famously coins the “moist maker,” making every bite irresistibly juicy and tender.
Heinz’s new Leftover Gravy will be available Nov. 18 in a 12-ounce squeezable bottle, exclusively online through Walmart.
Fans can snag a bottle for just $1.88 when purchasing Heinz Homestyle Turkey Gravy—perfect for recreating the iconic sandwich at home.
“With a jar of our gravy on hand, your Thanksgiving leftovers can reach peak deliciousness,” Heinz said.
How will you put this irresistibly tasty condiment to use?
