Chase Stokes calling out fans for spreading negativity and hurtful messages in Kelsea Ballerini‘s comments section.
Following the release of her new album Mount Pleasant, the 32-year-old country singer took to TikTok on Monday (November 17) to promote her song “People Pleaser.”
In the video, Kelsea changes into a red dress and bold lipstick as she sings along to the lyrics. Then in the comments section, many of Kelsea‘s fans started to name-check both Chase, 33, and his ex-girlfriend and Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline.
Chase then slammed fans for spreading negativity.

In response to Chase‘s comment, many fans then started debating what sparked his involvement. One person alleged that an Outer Banks fan had been posting photos of Chase and Madelyn, 27, under Kelsea‘s video, and was encouraging others to do the same.
“OBX fans were posting nonsense and Chase called them out so they deleted it,” the person wrote.
Another fan wrote, “So now it’s ok for Kelsea to be calling Madelyn a red flag and how she goes around to many [guys]. Wow, I’m sure Madelyn is pissed at you both, Chase and Kelsea. Idiots.”
That comment appeared to be in reference to Kelsea‘s new song “Emerald City,” in which she sings about being jealous of another woman, who she says “got around” and is “pretty,” which left her feeling “envy.” Many have speculated that the song is about Madelyn, who dated Chase between 2019 and 2020.
It was revealed back in September that Kelsea and Chase had split up after nearly three years of dating. However, just a few weeks ago, they sparked reconciliation rumors when they were spotted holding hands in Croatia.
