King Charles wrote to Ozzy Osbourne‘s family after his death.
Donald Trump and King Charles sent messages to Ozzy Osbourne
The Black Sabbath rocker passed away in July at the age of 76 and his wife Sharon took comfort in the kind message she and the Paranoid hitmaker’s children received from the “amazing” and caring monarch.
Speaking on the Osbournes podcast, the couple’s son Jack Osbourne said: “We got a lovely letter from the king.”
Sharon added: “Our King is an amazing person. He is an amazing person, not just because he wrote to us when Ozzy passed, but if he did it for us, know he does it for many, many, many people.
“Here’s a man that does know what’s going on in the street with people. Not just politics, not just you know, here’s a man that cares about the environment, animals,” she added. “He cares about many, many, many things.”
The 73-year-old matriarch revealed Charles had previously got in touch with the family in 2003, when he was still Prince of Wales, after Ozzy was seriously injured in a quad bike accident.
She said: “He’s got a good heart. He didn’t have to do certain things that he’s done for Ozzy.
“He is a good, caring man with a good heart.
“We respect him, we respect his family.
“And he, again, took the time out of his day to write us, have it hand-delivered to us, a note from the King for Ozzy’s passing with his condolences, and that says so much. “
The king wasn’t the only high-profile figure to get in touch with the family Ozzy’s death because Sharon, Jack and his daughter Kelly Osbourne also shared a voicemail they received from US President Donald Trump.
The president said in the message: “Hi, Sharon, it’s Donald Trump, and I just wanted to wish you the best.
“Ozzy was amazing. He was an amazing guy. I met him a few times, and I want to tell you he was unique in every way and talented. So I just wanted to wish you the best, and it’s a tough thing. I know how close you were, and whatever I can do. Take care of yourself. Say hello to the family.”
Jack said after the clip was played: “Love him or hate him, he didn’t have to call and leave a voicemail.”
Sharon – who came third on Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice show in 2010 – praised the president and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump.
She said: “All I know is a man that I know, I worked with for a month. I spent one month with him and his wife, who was always gracious, elegant, just a delight to talk to, his wife.
“And he was always, ‘How are the children? How’s Kelly? I’m so proud of Kelly and Jack for what they’ve done and their manners are great.’ nd he was just a great guy to talk to and he has always treated me with respect.”
Sharon noted that offering praise for Trump would be divisive.
She said: “Listen, I’m not American. I can’t vote. I don’t want to vote. I don’t vote for anyone. I vote for no one. Never have, never will.
“But the thing is, all I know is he’s treated me with respect, your father with respect. He wanted nothing from us. Nothing. Melania — the same. Nothing. And they have been great.”
