Meghan Trainor is turning heads — and sparking major conversation — after debuting a completely transformed look at the Baby2Baby Gala on Sunday night.
The 32-year-old pop star stunned on the red carpet in a strapless white ball gown covered in crystal embellishments and featuring a full tulle skirt. With ruched white gloves, a diamond necklace, and her hair styled in an elegant updo with soft bangs framing her face, Meghan’s glamorous appearance left fans doing a double take.
While many praised her style glow-up, others could hardly believe it was the same singer who burst onto the scene in 2014 with “All About That Bass.” One viral post summed up the internet’s shock perfectly, quote-tweeting her photos with the caption: “i am really scared.”
The attention surrounding Meghan’s new look follows months of the star candidly discussing her health and lifestyle changes. After giving birth to her second child, Barry, in July 2023, Meghan opened up about her postpartum journey and her decision to use Mounjaro, a prescription drug that helps manage blood sugar and can lead to weight loss.
“No, I don’t look like I did ten years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me,” she wrote in a March Instagram post to her 18 million followers. “I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”
The singer, who shares sons Riley, 4, and Barry, 2, with husband Daryl Sabara, has also been open about developing gestational diabetes during both pregnancies — something that inspired her to focus more on her long-term health.
Still, Meghan hasn’t shied away from addressing the scrutiny surrounding her appearance. “It’s a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here,” she wrote. “This is what it’s like to be a woman in the music industry. Here’s to celebrating talent, growth, and the power of putting yourself first.”
