Clara then shared a photo of the hat on her dining room table with Erivo. “I have it in my house,” she said. “I don’t have it on me.” “May I have it back, please? I thought I had lost it forever,” said Erivo. Her team quickly came to ask Clara for her contact information in order to schedule the drop off. “Oh my goodness,” Erivo exclaimed. “You’re a lifesaver.”
Clara explained how she came to have Erivo’s hat in a separate TikTok video. Originally from Paris, Clara and a friend traveled to London last year for Wicked’s premiere, and stumbled upon Erivo’s hat while in the theater about 30 minutes after the film had ended. She took it home because she didn’t want the theater staff to dispose of it, not knowing it was Erivo’s.
“I kept the hat for a year and I just wanted to tell her myself and I didn’t know how to get a hold of her,” she said in her TikTok. She then held up a green and pink Wicked gift bag. “She’s getting the hat back today. I put it in this lovely bag and I’m giving it back.”
