    ‘Wicked’ Director Jon M Chu Reacts to Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo’s Matching Tattoos

    Ariana Grande re-shared a photo of one of her matching tattoos with Cynthia Erivo.

    In a post celebrating the upcoming release of Wicked: For Good in a few weeks, the Oscar nominated actress and singer shared a pic of their “For Good” palm tattoos.

    Ariana previously debuted these tattoos back in December 2023.

    However, after reposting them this weekend, director Jon M Chu shared on his Instagram story that he advised them to maybe wait to get the tattoos.

    “I cautioned them to maybe wait to get any tattoos about the movie until AFTER they see it… but they opted to ignore me and got them on like days 3 of rehearsals,” he wrote.

    “LOL i remember you saying this and being like ‘omg …. what does THAT MEAN ?????????’ But it was about what we were experiencing and creating and feeling in our hearts, not about the end result !” one of the ladies responded.

    There was also a fact check. “hello fun fact these and the poppies we got the evening after we shot ‘for good’ and then the first round was done right after we shot popular”

    The Wicked: For Good worldwide press tour and premieres are kicking off later this week. The first stop is on Tuesday (November 4) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They will then go to Paris on Friday (November 7), London on November 10th, Singapore on November 13th and New York on November 17th.
