Woody Harrelson has no interest in returning to True Detective.

If you forgot, the 64-year-old Emmy-winning actor starred in the first season of the HBO mystery crime anthology series in 2014 alongside close pal Matthew McConaughey.

In a new interview, Woody said he would “never” return to the show, even after creator Nic Pizzolatto shared a few months ago that he has an idea in mind for a new season starring him and Matthew, 55.

Keep reading to find out more…While appearing on 3rd Hour of Today on Friday (October 31), host Dylan Dreyer told Woody that Matthew said that he and Woody would be into doing another season together if they “think it’s good enough.”

“Matthew’s so funny,” Woody said in response. “But in fairness, never. Not a chance.”

Woody went on to say that he only has positive reasons as to why he wouldn’t want to play Det. Marty Hart again on another season.

“Because it turned out great,” he explained. “I love that it turned out the way it did. If anything, doing another season would, I think, tarnish that.”

Back in August, it was reported that this Oscar-winning actor is in talks to lead season five of True Detective!
