Kelsea Ballerini shared an emotional TikTok video with her dog, Dibs, and fans can’t stop crying.
On October 23, Ballerini posted a clip of herself sobbing as her Goldendoodle, Dibs, gently licked away her tears.
The Baggage singer captioned the video: “thinking of everyone with a furbaby going through cancer tonight. truly don’t know my adult life without my dibby. he’s fighting so hard. i love him so much. any love or healing energy you wanna send his way, please continue to. we really appreciate it ❤️”.
Dibs was diagnosed with inoperable heart cancer in August 2024. Despite the prognosis, he has been doing fairly well, and Ballerini even celebrated his 10th birthday in June 2025.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Sept. 24, Ballerini shared another update on her Instagram Stories as Dibs underwent an unexpected surgery.
Along with a closeup shot of her beloved dog she wrote: “Baby boy has a [surprise] surgery today. We would appreciate all of the big love, prayers, and healing energy you can send his way. It’s gotten him this far.”
Fans have been flooding her TikTok with words of encouragement and support.
Fellow country singer MaRynn Taylor commented, “He’s the sweetest boy. Sending so much love to you and Dibs 🤍.” One fan wrote, “He says ‘don’t cry mom, everything will be okay’ 🥺❤️🩹 Sending so much love and healing thoughts your way. 🫶🏼 Cancer sucks. Keep fighting, Dibby.”
Another fan added, “Ya know what’s wild… our pups fight so hard for us all the time that even when they’re in pain, they comfort us. That’s the power of a dog… we are so lucky. Thinking of y’all ♥️.”
