Maya talks about growing up in LA in the 80s. Jimmy’s staff dug up an old article from the LA Times where a 17 year old Maya was interviewed at Madonna’s Blonde Ambition tour (Maya remembers attending the show but not being interviewed for the article). She talks about how MTV was the source of all her pop culture knowledge and how much Madonna influenced her style in middle school and high school (she describes Madonna’s different personas for each album as “Eras before Eras”).
Maya and Jimmy then segue into Old Men Yelling at Clouds, lamenting the lack of punctuation in texts and the youths using words incorrectly. Jimmy says that his kids are delighted that he was born in 1967 because that makes the 6-7 meme even funnier to them. Maya said the hand gesture that accompanies it looks lewd to her. Maya also talks about Henry Winkler appearing nude in the S3 premiere of Loot. She said that the “naked” senior citizens had nude colored body coverings but a few of them offered to actually get naked.
