Britney Spears’ ex Kevin Federline says in his memoir he was “barely able to scrape by” despite being paid $40k/month for two decades by the star.

Supposedly the accidental pop culture icon (as claimed in his newly published author bio below) says that the money went toward security and the “lifestyle” their boys were “used” to living with their mom.
Kevin has reportedly been receiving $20,000 a month for the boys since 2007. In 2018, it was increased to $40,000 each month. He infamously moved to Hawaii in 2023 to take advantage of Hawaii’s child support laws, which can require parents to pay support until a child is 23 if they are enrolled in college.

“People hear figures like that and think you’re financially set. But the reality is far from that. Explaining that his various expenses to raise two kids in Los Angeles — rent, transportation, security, childcare — didn’t allow the money to “stretch as far as you’d think.”
He elaborated on the costs of raising his two sons, writing, “Raising two young boys in Los Angeles, while maintaining the security and stability they needed, came with a price tag that would make anyone’s head spin.”
