Malcolm-Jamal Warner‘s final on-screen appearance will be airing this evening (Tuesday, October 7).
He will appear in the latest episode of Murder in a Small Town on Fox, which airs at 8 p.m. ET.
Prior to his tragic passing in July, he filmed a guest appearance for Season 2 of the hit series.

He will be playing the role of Richard Bannister, described as “a protective father who becomes a lead suspect in a murder investigation when his ex-wife is killed just after returning to town. Still heartbroken years after the split, Richard wears his anger and pain on his sleeve, but his only goal in life is to keep his daughter safe,” per TVLine.
Series creator Ian Weir also spoke out about the experience to the outlet, praising the late actor as someone “who totally left his ego at the door and just went to work in a wonderfully collaborative way,” and that it was “really quite magical” because many of the cast and crew “felt they’d grown up with him because of The Cosby Show.”
