Jennifer Lopez attended the New York City premiere of her new film Kiss of the Spider Woman this week, and she was joined on the red carpet by her 17-year-old twins Max and Emme, from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony.

For the October 6 event, Lopez wore a spider-inspired Harris Reed gown with a sort of black widow detailing at the waist that extended  up to her forehead. Meanwhile, the teens went slightly more casual with Emme donning a red velvet jacket over a black satin shirt and black pants, while Max wore a color block tri-color jacket over a maroon sweater and a khakis.

Lopez’s ex-husband Ben Affleck likewise attended the premiere, as both he and Matt Damon serve as executive producers on the film. Despite their recent divorce, which was finalized back in January 2025, the exes appeared friendly—dare say even affectionate—on the red carpet.

Kiss of the Spider Woman, which first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, is the second film adaptation of the 1976 novel of the same name by Argentine author Manuel Puig. It tells the story of two unlikely prisoners who bond over their shared situation by recounting the plot of various films in order to distract themselves.

Earlier that day, Lopez appeared on Live With Kelly and Mark, where she opened up about the next chapter of the twins’ lives.

“It’s crazy. We’re like visiting colleges today, going in between doing this and the premiere,” Lopez told the hosts. “It’s happening. They’re leaving. They’re going.”

“I’m happy because I remember how exciting that time of my life was when I was like, ‘Oh, I’m figuring out what I want to do with my life,’” she continued. “And it’s an exciting adventure, and I want that for them. But I also think, ‘Oh, I’m gonna be by myself.’”

When Ripa told Lopez that she would “love” having an empty nest, she quipped, “I have an inkling that I might.”

“But also like, making a home that they always want to come back to, right?” she explained. “That was the goal for me since they were born. I was like, whatever this is, whatever we create, the three of us together, it’s going to be something that they are always like, when I go home, it feels good. It smells like home, it tastes like home, all of it. And I always concentrated on that with them and I feel like we’ve created that.”

“We’re close. We’re a close-knit three,” Lopez later added. “We had to bond together. And so that kind of changed things and made it really beautiful for us.”
