D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall, has broken his silence after deceased teen Celeste Rivas Hernandez‘s body was found in the singer’s abandoned car.
After TikTok user Girl Town shared a video breaking down the case, Marshall took to the comments section to deny rumors he had any connection to Rivas Hernandez’s death investigation.
“I never received any emails. I had zero knowledge of anything and I don’t live in California,” Marshall wrote under the username “@JMogul.”
He continued, “Also I work remotely 95% of the time and my job doesn’t require me to have much interaction with any of my clients/David, as there are many others that work with him on a day to day capacity, not me.”

Marshall issued the statement after a private investigator alleged Rivas Hernandez’s loved ones sent him an email in 2024 claiming she was missing, Los Angeles Magazine reported. The family then allegedly claimed they believed she was with D4vd, 20.
The outlet added that Rivas Hernandez returned back to her Lake Elsinore, California, home one day after the email was sent.
“This news is tragic for so many and for her family. I hope the proper authorities get to the bottom of it soon,” Marshall continued in the comments section of the TikTok video. “Let me remind people a lot of this is speculation and alleged. In the meantime, I am with my family helping them emotionally get through the news of this tragedy. Please report on factual information.”
It’s not currently clear if he was referring to Rivas Hernandez’s death with the comment. However, Marshall did confirm to Los Angeles Magazine that he was the person behind the TikTok comments.
The teen’s body was found at a Hollywood impound yard on September 8 after police received reports about a Tesla that had a “foul odor coming from a vehicle.” After the body was identified as Rivas Hernandez, NBC Los Angeles reported that she had been missing since April 5 from Lake Elsinore, California.
Law enforcement sources told ABC News that the car was registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. Additionally, the vehicle was parked near a home he was renting before he began his Withered World Tour in August.

D4vd, who has not been named a suspect in the investigation, has not yet publicly commented on the case, while he has not been charged or named as a suspect. In light of the investigation, a spokesperson for the “Romantic Homicide” singer previously told NBC News that he was “fully cooperating with the authorities.”
Additionally, a landlord previously told SFGate that Marshall broke the lease to a home in Hollywood Hills that D4vd was staying at after LAPD investigators served a search warrant there and seized electronics.
