    Eric Dane Speaks Out in New Video Advocating for ALS Cure, One Day After Missing Emmys

    Eric Dane is letting his voice be heard in a new video to support the fight against ALS.

    The 52-year-old actor, who revealed his ALS diagnosis earlier this year, was supposed to attend the Emmys this weekend, but canceled at the last minute for unknown reasons.

    In a video released on Monday morning (September 15), Eric speaks out for the first time in months.

    “I’m Eric. An actor, a father and now a person living with ALS,” he says in the video for the charity I AM ALS.

    He continues, “For over a century, ALS has been incurable, and we’re done accepting the status quo. We need the fastest path to a cure and that’s why I partnered with I AM ALS on the Push for Progress. Our goal? A billion dollars over the next three years.”

    “Together, we’ll renew the landmark law ACT for ALS, get promising treatments to thousands of patients like me.
