Kylie Kelce is officially setting the record straight on why she avoids discussing her brother-in-law Travis Kelce and his fiancé, superstar Taylor Swift, on her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie.”
After noticing some online comments criticizing her for not congratulating the couple immediately following their engagement, Kylie addressed the speculation.
“I have made a very conscious effort to not discuss Taylor and Travis on this podcast,” the 33-year-old said. “Because news outlets, tabloids, and AI—quite frankly—like to post only the quotes that they grab from whatever I say in reference to them.”
Still, Kylie broke her own rule to share just how thrilled she is for the duo.
“I am so incredibly happy for them,” she said. “We are so excited that they are taking this next step. The girls are so excited to get another aunt. I’m so truly happy for them and I’m so grateful that we get to welcome Taylor into our family in a more official capacity.”
Even with her excitement surrounding the happy couple’s engagement news, Kylie continued to emphasize that their bond is personal and doesn’t need to be constantly discussed publicly.
“It’s our private relationship,” she explained. “That’s my brother-in-law Travis and my soon-to-be sister-in-law Taylor. So, I don’t need to talk about them all the time. I don’t need to come out here and make statements when I already talked to them. (…) Our relationship is private between us.”
Kylie later added that fans should never mistake her silence for anything negative.
“It’s ok that time made it so that we didn’t congratulate them in the last episode, and also that I don’t always have to comment on what they’re doing in their lives because I can just text them and talk to them.”
