Influencer Alix Earle has shared a new update on her foster dog, Asia. Earle has recently taken 4-year-old pitbull Asia back into her care following the pup’s unfortunate leg injury.

Earle took to Instagram to share a carousel of new images of her and Asia’s trip to Los Angeles where they had a surgery consultation. “We have her surgery scheduled in 12 days for her torn ACL! If anyone has any tips for recovery from this surgery for her lmk,” Earle shared in the caption.

Although Asia had been adopted to a loving family back in February of this year, she then suffered a tear to her ACL at the end of May. On August 19, Earle took to TikTok to explain that after finding out about the injury, she reached out to Asia’s adoptive mom to offer to cover the cost of her surgery.

Asia’s adoptive mom then revealed to Earle that sadly she did not think she would be able to care for the pup anymore. Despite Earle’s very busy schedule, she decided it would be best to take Asia back into her home and take over the process of preparing her for surgery.

Earle also clarified that Asia’s adoptive mom still cares for her a great deal and is not giving her up because she wants to.

“I just wanted to say please do not sent any hate to Asia’s mom. You never know someone’s circumstances and I just want to say that. Please do not send any hate. She loves Asia girl so much and so do I, and we’re just trying to do what’s best for her,” Earle explained in another August 19th TikTok showing her picking Asia up and helping her settle in at her home.

Earle has since shared several more updates of her and Asia’s journey preparing for the ACL surgery on TikTok, including a video of the pair flying to Los Angeles on a private plane because of commercial airline restrictions on pitbulls, and videos of the two of them snuggling in bed together in the morning.

Despite many fan comments encouraging her, Earle has not yet confirmed whether or not she will be keeping Asia or working to get her adopted by a new family again after she recovers from her surgery.
