Savannah Chrisley and Grayson Chrisley were over the moon when their parents were released from prison — but the moment didn’t bring the entire family together.

During the Tuesday, September 9, episode of Lifetime’s The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, Chase Chrisley revealed that he was excluded from picking up dad Todd Chrisley and mom Julie Chrisley from prison after they each spent 28 months in jail for bank fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion charges.

His younger brother, Grayson, however, was fully in the loop and part of the pickup crew for Julie, 52, in Kentucky. Savannah, 28, was in charge of retrieving Todd, 56, in Florida.

The Chrisley family was “completely divided” when Todd and Julie Chrisley were in prison, according to Lifetime’s The Chrisleys: Back to Reality docuseries. “Last I checked, no one else in my family is doing anything to fight for my parents,” Savannah Chrisley said during the September 1 premiere episode. “No one else is going out […]

“Chase was supposed to be included, but Chase left the house for some reason,” Grayson, 19, explained during the episode, which documented the day in May that both Todd and Julie were granted a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. “At that point that’s on him. If you’re not there, you’re not there.”

Chase, 29, revealed during episode 6 of the reality show that he received a call from his sister Savannah prior to their parents’ release making the news.

When he got to their family home, he attempted to help coordinate Todd and Julie’s transport, but Savannah had it handled.

“Chase has been nonexistent during this entire process,” Savannah claimed. “I was at the house and that’s when Grayson said he would go get mom, I would go get dad. That was the best way for it to play out.”

She further alleged, “No one really had the emotional capacity or want to have to deal with Chase and all of his crazy emotions. Trying to dictate or not help.”

Chase Chrisley is sharing what it’s like to have his parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, back under the same roof following their prison release. “I’m emotional. It was a beautiful moment,” Chase said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, May 29, while holding back tears. “I don’t think it really hit me until […]

Savannah quipped, “You also don’t get to have a say if you’re not financially helping to contribute to this whole process.”

While Savannah was in Florida waiting for Todd and Grayson was in Kentucky preparing for Julie’s release, Chase was home in Tennessee with Nanny Faye. During a heart-to-heart with his grandmother, Chase admitted he was “pissed off” at how the travel arrangements were handled.

“Savannah was the one who got to make the decision on who was going to pick up my parents. I don’t think it was handled well,” he confessed.

Julie’s mom, Pam Hughes, was also upset that she wasn’t there to hug her daughter outside of the prison.

Todd and Julie Chrisley‘s son Chase Chrisley is continuing to celebrate his parents’ return home from federal prison. Chase turned 29 years old on Sunday, June 1, less than one week after Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were pardoned by President Donald Trump for their bank fraud and tax evasion convictions. “I did want to [be involved]. I’ve said that since day one,” Pam said during a confessional.

When asked why she wasn’t “able to go,” Pam responded, “That is just a situation I don’t want to talk about.”

Grayson, for his part, claimed that his grandparents “weren’t included because it would’ve been too much for them.” He noted that they had to sleep in cars and wait for hours, so it wasn’t the right scenario for their elders.

“Y’all should’ve been the main priority,” Chase told Todd’s mother, Nanny Faye, noting that it didn’t sit well with him that Savannah’s friend was there and one of their cousins, but not him or the grandparents.

Once Todd and Julie were home, Chase was able to embrace them and have his moment. However, he later took issue with the fact that so many of Savannah’s friends were in their house for the reunion.

“I think my mom just needed a second,” Chase said during a confessional. “Savannah has all of her friend group at the house. It is a very intimate thing, so I’m not sure why all these people are in the house.”

Pam agreed with her grandson, saying, “To me it was very overwhelming and chaotic.”

Grayson, meanwhile, didn’t like the fact that Chase’s girlfriend, Jodi Laine Fournerat, met her parents for the first time that evening.

“I’m just not sure that’s something she should’ve been included on,” Grayson told the cameras. “He’s grown, you can only include him so much.”

Earlier this season, Chase claimed that Savannah put a “little wedge” between him and Grayson after their parents went to prison. Savannah, meanwhile, revealed that she and Chase were at odds after he allegedly didn’t help her with their family or the finances amid their parents’ legal issues.

The Chrisleys: Back to Reality series finale airs on Lifetime Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ET with two back-to-back episodes.
