    D4vd made headlines when it was reported that a decomposed body had been found in the back of a car that was registered to him in Los Angeles. In light of the findings, many people are wondering who D4vd is and what the case is about.

    Who Is D4vd?
    D4vd – whose real name is David Anthony Burke – is a musician who rose to fame for his 2022 songs “Here with Me” and “Romantic Homicide,” which became hits on TikTok. After he was introduced to fans via social media, he signed with Darkroom and Interscope Records.

    He released two extended plays, Petals to Thorns and The Lost Petals, in 2023, and he continued his momentum by releasing five singles, including his hit “Feel It,” in 2024.

    The singer took a major step in his career when he released his debut album, Withered, on April 25. While announcing the album on Instagram in February, D4vd thanked his fans “eternally for waiting on me.”

    A Dead Body Was Found in a Car Registered to D4vd
    Eyewitness News reported that officers arrived at the scene near Mansfield Avenue and Romaine Street in Hollywood in the early afternoon on Monday, September 8, after it was reported that a foul odor was coming from an impounded vehicle.

    A body was found inside a bag in the front trunk of the vehicle, which LAPD said had been parked at the property for a few days.Eyewitness News confirmed the 2023 Tesla is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to D4vd.

    Police sources told Eyewitness News that they are relying on the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner to identify the victim and determine the cause of death. Additionally, the source added that the investigators are planning to talk to the registered owner of the vehicle, as well as anyone who may be connected to the case.

    A spokesperson for D4vd said in an exclusive statement to NBC News that he “has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.”

    Who Was Found in D4vd’s Car?
    The identity of the deceased person has not yet been revealed, though Eyewitness News reported the person was a woman who was believed to have had wavy black hair, was 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighed 71 pounds. Additionally, she was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal bracelet and metal stud earrings when her body was found.

    The woman also had a tattoo that read, “Shhh…” on her right index finger.

    D4vd Has Been Dropped by Brands Amid Scandal
    Just hours after reports surfaced about his alleged connection to the case, D4vd was dropped as a brand ambassador for Crocs and Hollister.

    “We are aware of this developing story. With respect to the current situation, we have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues,” the brands said in a joint statement, per WWD.
