Charlie Kirk posted on Twitter (aka X) just hours before his death.
If you did not see the news, the 31-year-old Trump ally and conservative commentator passed away on Wednesday (September 10) after he was shot in the neck while on his The American Comeback Tour rally event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

One topic he had discussed extensively on his social media recently was the death of a woman named Iryna Zarutska. She was a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who escaped the war, and was tragically killed in a random stabbing by a man named Decarlos Brown in North Carolina.
Charlie‘s last X post was about Iryna‘s death, and he wrote, “If we want things to change, it’s 100% necessary to politicize the senseless murder of Iryna Zarutska because it was politics that allowed a savage monster with 14 priors to be free on the streets to kill her.” He posted this at 1:34 pm local time, and he passed away hours later. He posted a photo of her on Instagram as his last post on there as well, just hours prior to the shooting.
Brown was in prison as recently as 2020 for robbery with a dangerous weapon, CNN reports. His sister, Tracey Brown, said their mother tried to get him committed but could not, and she also says he tried to attack her in 2022.
Our thoughts are with Charlie Kirk‘s loved ones at this difficult time. He is survived by his wife and kids.
