Fans of The Terminal List are likely going to be waiting a while to see new episodes of the fan-favorite series.

Amazon just premiered the show’s spinoff prequel, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, at the end of August, which follows Taylor Kitsch‘s character, Ben Edwards.

However, despite the prequel season filling the gap between seasons, there’s still going to be quite a wait for Season 2.

Keep reading to find out more…

Filming on Season 2 began in the spring earlier this year, and it is expected to wrap this fall, around The Terminal List: Dark Wolf ends its season run on September 24, per Forbes.

Season 1 of the series wrapped filming in August of 2021, and didn’t premiere until the following summer in July after nearly a year of post-production. As a result, if the same timeframe applies to the second season, we likely won’t see Season 2 hit Prime Video until late 2026.

The reason for the massive delay? Chris Pratt.

His busy filming calendar, having since starred in mega-hit films like The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, as well as The Garfield Movie among other productions, was the cause of delays.

While there’s no new Guardians movie he’s working on, Chris already has several projects in the works over the next year. According to his IMDb, he’s in pre-production for Super Mario World and the untitled Garfield movie sequel, as well as developing Cowboy Ninja Viking. He recently completed Mercy and Way of the Warrior Kid. We’ll see if the delay will take as long again!

Here’s what we know so far about the cast of Season 2.
