Jason Kelce is just like Us — he’s “knee-deep” in all the theories about Taylor Swift‘s new album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Jason, 37, and his brother, Travis Kelce, recapped Swift’s recent “New Heights” appearance during the Wednesday, August 27, episode of their podcast. While giving an honest review of the upcoming record, Travis, 35, praised his now-fiancée’s “poetic” songwriting, leading Jason to admit he’s joined in on the Easter egg hunt with the rest of the Swiftie fandom.
“I am all over [it],” he told Travis. “You know I am, because I keep sending you and Tay stuff I keep reading. I know you guys don’t wanna read it, but I’m gonna make you guys read it because I’m interested in it. And you guys aren’t giving me f***ing anything, which is pissing me off even more.”
Travis joked that Swift, 35, takes her secret-keeping very seriously, a trait Jason couldn’t relate to.
“Listen, I’m a very untrustworthy person, I get it,” he said. “I wouldn’t trust me either. I can’t keep a secret to save my life, I get excited.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Jason asked Travis how the pop star felt after making her podcast debut. Travis assured his brother that Swift felt like she was “flying around” after the recording session.

“She was having so much fun getting to tell everybody about the album and, obviously, dropping a few Easter eggs and seeing if anyone caught on,” the tight end continued, triggering Jason’s Swiftie radar.
“So there are Easter eggs!” Jason exclaimed before referencing a few of the theories floating around the internet. “Travis, what’s that Pinocchio doing behind you? … Who is Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio? What does he represent?” (Travis dodged answering these questions.)
Fans went wild after Swift’s two-hour interview with Travis and Jason debuted on August 13, with the episode officially breaking the Guinness World Record for most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube. (As of Wednesday, the video has more than 21 million views.)
Swift used her “New Heights” platform to reveal the cover and title of her 12th album. “It was something that I was working on while I was in Europe on the Eras Tour. I just love it. I just love it a lot,” she said of The Life of a Showgirl. “Working on this, I was physically exhausted, at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.”
Describing the inspiration behind her new work, Swift added, “This album is about what was going on behind-the-scenes in my inner life during this tour which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant. It comes from the most infectiously, joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life. So that effervescence has come through on this record. … This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time.”
Travis noted at the time that fans can expect an album full of “bangers.” He gave more of a tease on Wednesday’s podcast, which dropped one day after the NFL star and Swift announced their engagement.
“I’m gonna go ahead and keep poking the bear to all the Swifties,” Travis said, naming “Opalite” as his favorite song. “I keep listening to this album and I know she mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats and everything, but it’s still so poetic and her melodies and her references and stuff.”
