Things got a bit awkward for Tom Hiddleston during a recent interview.
On Thursday (August 21), the 44-year-old Emmy-nominated actor and co-star Karen Gillan appeared on the U.K.’s Heart Radio to promote their new movie The Life of Chuck.
During the live interview, host Devin Griffin brought up Tom‘s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.

“I find myself on the sports highlights,” Tom shared. “It’s football or if there’s been a tennis championship I’ve missed. There’s all these sports journalists who write really beautifully about sport, and I love reading what they’ve written.”
Tom‘s comments apparently reminded Devin Griffin about Taylor, who recently shared that she likes to read sourdough blogs.
“We did just find out—Taylor Swift, big fan of a sourdough recipe blog,” the radio DJ said. “Very, very specific but I see how you could get into that.”
At that moment, Tom can be seen furrowing his eyebrows and becoming uncomfortable at the mention of his ex-girlfriend, whom he dated in the summer of 2016.
However, Karen, 37, luckily jumped in to save Tom from having to respond.
“That feels like an Easter egg for something,” Karen said of Taylor’s interest in sourdough blogs before joking, “I think it might be something to do with the Super Bowl.”
Tom then laughed at Karen‘s comments and the conversation moved on.
The radio show later poked fun at the incident by posting the clip from the interview to Heart FM TikTok page alongside the caption, “When you accidentally mention their ex…”
