Demi Lovato celebrated turning 33 with major vocals, a dramatic coat and a seriously tiny top.
The pop star marked her milestone birthday in true Leo behavior, showing off multiple looks and plenty of powerhouse singing moments while surrounded by close friends via Instagram. Demi kicked off the night in a dramatic feathered jacket before switching into a zebra-print bandeau top paired with sleek black pants, flaunting her toned abs.
The karaoke party also included silver balloons spelling out “Demi” as the backdrop while the birthday girl grabbed the mic. Demi belted out classics while her guests hyped her up, including Wicked’s “Defying Gravity” and KPop Demon Hunter’s “Golden.”
“What can I say, I’m a Leo 🥳,” she wrote in the caption of her post, perfectly summing up her birthday energy.
Another highlight of the night came when Demi broke into Whitney Houston’s iconic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” As if that moment wasn’t already iconic, her husband Jordan “Jutes” Lutes joined in the fun, dancing right by her side. The newlyweds have been inseparable all summer, proving they’re still firmly in their honeymoon phase.
Just a week before Demi’s birthday bash, she shocked fans at the Jonas Brothers’ August 10 show in New Jersey when she hit the stage with Joe Jonas to perform “Gotta Find You.” Naturally, Jutes was there too, supporting her from backstage and sneaking in a celebratory kiss after her performance. “Couldn’t be more proud. I love you sooo much baby,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a video of Demi walking out onstage. She quickly reposted the sweet clip, gushing back: “I love you sm honey.”
The pair, who tied the knot in California on May 25 after more than a year and a half of engagement, are no strangers to putting their love front and center. The Disney Channel alum’s been candid about how grounding and supportive her husband is. “It’s very grounding to have a partner that is so supportive, so loving, so caring,” Demi told People in September 2024. “And so, you know, it’s very easy to stay centered with him because I just — I love him so much and he treats me so amazing.”
Their connection was instant from the very beginning. In a Teen Vogue cover interview last year, Demi admitted she “instantly had a crush” on Jutes. “I live and breathe for our connection,” she said at the time. “Everything I do, I wish I was with him. I see my future with him. I see growing old with him.”
