Maybe Happy Ending announced that Darren would return to performances starting November 5th in the musical!

“This Model 3 is anything but retired 💜” the show’s official Instagram shared. “Darren Criss returns to Maybe Happy Ending on Broadway as Oliver beginning November 5th 🤖”

After Darren‘s matinee performance on Wednesday (August 20), he shared with the audience he was hitting the road for nine weeks, and his final performance will be August 31st, which was already his end date after extending his run back in May.

“After August 31, I’ll be hitting the road for just nine weeks before coming back in November to play Oliver full time, and in that period of time, I will be lending my charger to the marvelous Andrew Barth Feldman,” he told the crowd, via THR.

“If you enjoyed your time here today, hopefully you’ll be able to come back and maybe get a chance to witness the brilliance and brilliant light that I know he will illuminate this wonderful, beautiful piece with in my absence,” he added. “Maybe Happy Ending is easily the most remarkable, accessible, hopeful and joyous piece of art that I have ever had the privilege of being part of.”

If you missed it, back in June, Maybe Happy Ending picked up a slew of Tony Awards, including two for Darren – one as an actor and one as a producer!
