“I first met him [when] he approached me online because he’s a huge Turtle fan, and he’s a huge fan of the Turtles role-playing games,” co-creator Kevin Eastman told People.

“So we visited a few times and we keep in touch. He sends me pictures of bubbles and just different stuff that he’s doing workwise,” the writer continued. “But when they talked about doing a new Turtles live-action movie, he said, ‘I want to be Casey Jones in the revision of that.’ He sent me a couple of pictures. And he would be [perfect] agewise. He’s perfect. He’d be perfect for it.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were first brought to life in movie form in the 1990 film, and most recently in 2016 in the live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

In 2023, the Turtles hit the big screen in the animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, with Seth Rogen co-writing and voicing the character Bepop. A sequel is currently in the works for a 2027 release.
