James Gunn is addressing the rumors about the upcoming The Batman Part II.
Recently, it has been rumored the Dark Knight’s orphaned sidekick Robin (aka Dick Grayson) will be making his debut in Matt Reeves‘ upcoming sequel.
On Friday (August 8), the 59-year-old DC Studios boss seemingly responded to the rumors.
Keep reading to find out more…“Guys please stop believing this nonsense,” James wrote on Threads. “I think six of us have read the script. No one knows anything about the Batman 2.”
James also appeared to address the Robin rumors in another post from earlier in the week.
“Anything you’ve heard about that movie is made up or a guess,” James wrote. “No one in the world knows anything about the concept for the story except four people.”
Production for The Batman Part II is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026. The film currently has an October 1, 2027 release date.
It has already been revealed that four stars will be back for the new movie!
