Kelly Clarkson‘s ex husband Brandon Blackstock has died.
The 48-year-old, who is also the former stepson of Reba McEntire, had battled cancer for the past three years.
Kelly announced just yesterday that Brandon had been ill, and as a result, had canceled her Las Vegas tour dates.
Now, the family has released a statement.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” the family told People.
Kelly and Brandon share two kids: River, 11, and Remington, 9.
Kelly split from her ex-husband and former manager in 2020. Kelly and Brandon, who were married for seven years, finalized their divorce in 2022 after a tough custody battle. She has since sued him.
