“Boys are so different than girls,” Joe said during the episode. “I’ll watch my kids on the playground and it’s, like, delicate. And then this kid will be like, ‘Ahh!’ And dive off the top of the slide. And you’re just like, ‘That is a boy.’”

Host Amy has two sons and she laughed as she agreed with Joe‘s analysis, saying, “Your frontal lobes close later.”

According to Joe his mom was the “boss” of their house growing up. He explained how she handled a house with four sons and said, “Growing up we needed a loud voice like her to be able to control us and also make sure that we weren’t pieces of s–t.”

Joe previously praised Sophie for her mothering skills following their divorce, sharing that having a good coparenting relationship is “important” to him following their split.
