Gerard Butler‘s sequel to Greenland is coming soon!
Greenland 2: Migration has been given a release date from Lionsgate, and it will hit theaters five years after the first movie was released.
The first movie never had a theatrical release as it was originally scheduled to hit theaters in June 2020, when movie theaters were shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film eventually had a streaming release instead.
Now, the second Greenland movie is going to hit theaters!

Variety reports that the sequel will be released on January 9, 2026.
Returning for the sequel are Morena Baccarin and Roman Griffith Davis as Gerard‘s family members. The sequel will follow the family “as they’re forced to leave the safety of their bunker in Greenland to traverse a shattered world in search of a new home.”
