    An attorney for Diddy is confirming that his legal team has reached out to Donald Trump to discuss a possible pardon.

    Nicole Westmoreland, one of the attorneys on Diddy‘s legal team, confirmed to CNN on Tuesday (August 5) that they have been in contact with Trump.

    President Trump previously shared his thoughts on potentially giving the music mogul a pardon after his conviction following rumors that he was considering it. Now, Diddy‘s defense team is speaking up.

    “It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” Nicole told CNN on behalf of Diddy‘s legal team.

    CNN reports that the White House refused to share a comment on whether or not Trump had given any more consideration to potentially pardoning Diddy at this time. Trump had previously said that he found it “more difficult” to consider giving the rapper a pardon following Diddy becoming more critical of his political standing in recent years.
