During the latest episode of her podcast “Whine Down,” singer and actress Jana Kramer is responding to rumors that her husband Allan Russell was still on dating apps.
According to People, Kramer met Russell through a dating app in 2022, despite initially claiming “dating apps weren’t for her.” Six and a half months after they began dating, Kramer and Russell got engaged and welcomed a child together in November 2023.
They got married 8 months after welcoming their son, Roman, in July 2024.
During her Aug. 4 episode of her podcast, Kramer addressed ongoing rumors that Russell, a former professional soccer player turned coach, still had an active profile on Bumble, a popular dating app where women make the first move.
“Remember how there was this thing going around being like, ‘Oh Allan is on a dating app?’” Kramer recalled to her co-hosts. “And Allan and I were joking about it. It’s hilarious.”
Kramer, 41, continued saying despite her past, “not a piece” of her believed the rumors about Russell were true. Kramer’s third husband, Mike Caussin, whom she shares her two oldest kids, Jolie and Jace, with, was repeatedly unfaithful throughout their marriage.
“In years past, I would have 1,000 percent looked into it,” Jana explained. But when it comes to Allan, Kramer says she “trusts him.”
“If it was to fall apart, I mean, it would obviously be devastating,” Jana shared. “But I just know that this is so different than my last one, that I don’t want to put any of that—like I have stressed my cortisol levels out to the max.”
Kramer admitted that while her past relationship affected the beginning of her relationship with Russell, she worked to stay focused on “what is the truth today, not the past.”
Saying her first three marriages “weren’t real,” Kramer notes that Russell is “a partner that is willing to be respectful, loving and isn’t going to walk away,” unlike her other husbands who “weren’t honest” or “respectful.”
“If your marriage is healthy, respectful now? Then it should last,” she continued, sharing a message to others going through a similar season in their relationship. “And you should rest in that.”
