Page Six has a source that shared that both shows are safe – “for now.”
Apparently, Jimmy Fallon signed a big extension through 2028. He’ll continue hosting The Tonight Show, and take on his new reality competition show for the network, On Brand. He’ll also continue appearing on Password.
His show has not been immune to budget shifts.
“Seth [Meyers] and Jimmy had budget cuts last year, which saw Jimmy go from five days a week to four days. He records Monday through Thursday and the show repeats on Friday,” they shared.
Apparently, Jimmy Kimmel is also safe, even as he talks of retirement.
“Even if he was thinking of retirement, he most definitely will stay now,” one source shared about the state of late night and Donald Trump, while another said, “[Disney President] Dana [Walden] would never ax Kimmel.”
