When Lisa Larson-Kelley launched Quantious, a marketing agency for fast-growing tech companies, she knew she didn’t want to build just another remote-first business — she wanted to build a connected one. That meant not only investing in tools and talent, but also in moments that bring her team together.
Now, as the company scales, so does its spending — and Larson-Kelley’s not about to let those dollars go to waste. From software subscriptions to strategic vendor payments, every purchase her company makes earns valuable rewards thanks to the Capital One Venture X Business card.
With flexible earning, big purchasing power and premium travel perks, the Venture X Business card isn’t just keeping up with her growth — it’s helping fuel it.*
Meet Lisa Larson-Kelley
A business built on connection and creativity
Larson-Kelley is the founder and CEO of Quantious, a boutique agency that helps high-growth tech clients sharpen their digital strategy and content. Her team works with companies at pivotal moments of growth, and she brings that same intentionality to how she builds her own company culture.
Though the Quantious team is fully remote, connection is a priority, not an afterthought.
Why team travel is a business priority
Every nine months, Larson-Kelley and her team organize team off-sites known as “Camp Quantious” — multiday retreats where the team gathers in person to align, brainstorm and bond. The most recent trip was to Puerto Rico, and it was largely funded using miles earned with her Capital One Venture X Business card.
“Earning miles with our Venture X Business card has enabled us to give back to our employees and continue to build up our company culture,” Larson-Kelley said. “We’ve used these miles to book our flights for two Camp Quantious retreats. We are a fully remote team, so finding airlines and flights that accommodated the entire team was such a relief for our team.”
Most of the miles went toward flights — the biggest expense — for the 2024 retreat in Asheville, North Carolina, and this year’s meetup in Puerto Rico. However, Larson-Kelley was also able to use miles for something special. “We used our remaining miles on the Puerto Rico trip to surprise our employees with a goody bag filled with travel essentials and gifts from local Puerto Rican artists and businesses,” she said.

“We are looking at going west for our next one, since we have mainly been focusing on the East Coast so far,” she said. “But even a return to Puerto Rico has been a big request from the team!”
Why Larson-Kelley chose Venture X Business

Larson-Kelley became a Venture X Business cardholder in November 2023 after discovering the card through the Inc. 5000 awards. With the company growing rapidly, she needed a business card that could keep up, so she sought one that offered flexible purchasing power, valuable rewards, straightforward redemption options and practical tools for scaling.
Here’s why the card stood out to her.
You can earn an unlimited 2X miles per dollar spent on everything
With the Venture X Business card, Larson-Kelley earns unlimited 2X miles per dollar spent on every purchase, with no rotating categories to track. That includes day-to-day expenses, software subscriptions and spending on employee and virtual cards.
Additionally, miles never expire for the life of the account.
It also has a large welcome bonus
New cardholders can earn a 150,000-mile bonus after spending $30,000 in the first three months. That’s worth at least $1,500 in travel when redeemed through Capital One Travel — enough to help fund major trips, like Larson-Kelley’s two recent off-sites.
It provides big purchasing power
With no preset spending limit, Quantious has the flexibility to authorize high-value purchases without needing manual approvals or advance planning. And more purchasing power means more rewards.*
That flexibility matters to founders making strategic investments or scaling quickly.
You can easily maximize travel rewards
Booking through Capital One Travel is easy and earns Lisa:
- 10X miles per dollar spent on hotels and rental cars
- 5X miles per dollar spent on flights and vacation rentals
- There are no blackout dates or restrictions when redeeming miles, making the card ideal for planning team travel or adding flexibility to a packed calendar.
It comes with benefits that go the distance
The Venture X Business card has a $395 annual fee with perks like:
- A $300 annual credit for bookings through Capital One Travel
- Complimentary access to Capital One Lounge locations and Priority Pass partner lounges**
- Elitelike hotel perks with the Premier Collection and the Lifestyle Collection
- A Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit (up to $120 every four years)
It’s designed for real business needs
Beyond rewards, the card includes practical features tailored to growing companies:
- Free employee and virtual cards with customizable limits
- Integration with accounting software for easier bookkeeping
- Built-in accounts payable tools to pay vendors, even those who don’t accept credit cards
