-Matthew Lawrence of the Lawrence brothers (for all you 90s kids) was recently asked if he saw Superman and his answer….has caused a debate
-Matthew explained: “This really got me,” Lawrence said. “I’m a huge animal lover. I work in conservation. I have more pets than I can count, most of them reptiles and amphibians, but I’ve had some amazing connections with dogs over the years, and that is not the relationship that I wanted to see. I think it needed more heart. It needed more depth. He was kind of like: ‘This dog. I don’t really care about this dog.’”
His brother, Andrew corrects him by stating Superman was “just watching the dog.” but Matthew didn’t care, stating “I think … if you’ve had a dog and you had a real connection with your dog, that is not it. And I wish I would have seen that, because it always needs to be highlighted”
Dean Cain on James Gunn’s #Superman: “Seeing Krypto in the trailer gave me goose bumps. He saves a squirrel. He saves a little girl. I respect that.”
And yet: “James Gunn and his decision to make Ma and Pa Kent the stupid rednecks. That’s a choice. And Superman has to be saved,… pic.twitter.com/sUJtDTqftV

-On being cast as SUperman and Hollywoods obession with “being the first”: “It was 1993 and I remember a fan going, ‘We wanted Superman, not Sushi Man,’” he says though he ultimately did not care. “For the love of God, he’s a Kryptonian. He could be green. Does it matter?” Dean would like to see Michael B. Jordan don the cape because he “has all the qualities of Superman — that humility, that kindness, that openness, that earnestness.”
-On the new SUperman movie: “James Gunn and his decision to make Ma and Pa Kent the stupid rednecks. That’s a choice. And Superman has to be saved, like, repeatedly? On a movie this size, every decision is a choice made carefully. And [DC Studios co-head] Peter Safran is a Princeton guy, too, a year ahead of me, but he’s never hired me” “Look, don’t try and make it all woke and crazy! Seeing Krypto in the trailer gave me goose bumps, he saves a squirrel. He saves a little girl. I respect that.”
-While Cain likes to talk about his dislike for Superman being woke, he doesnt acknowledge or seem to remember this particular scene from Lois and Clark
