Former The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown is officially a married woman.
Brown, 30, married businessman and health coach Adam Woolard on Saturday, July 26 in Nice, France. People described the special day as a “classic coastal wedding.”
“We wanted something really timeless and classic, and really just the celebration of our love with our friends and family,” Brown told People in an exclusive interview.
Brown and Woolard, 38, got engaged on August 24, 2023 after meeting on a dating app in 2021.
“I knew pretty early on that I wanted to marry her,” Woolard said during a June 2024 conversation on The Tamron Hall Show. “When I say I planned this engagement for a long time, I mean it. I planned it for a good six months.”
After sharing some of the special details of their wedding with People, including her “Cheyan” Mira Zwillinger gown, their “special” first look, and their handwritten vows, Woolard took to Instagram to share his favorite part of their special day.
Alongside a photo of the two of them receiving communion at their wedding, Woolard described it as a “favorite moment” from the day.
“This is not just a commitment, but a covenant,” he captioned the post. “Experiencing communion as husband and wife for the first time was one of our favorite moments of the entire weekend. The feeling of God’s presence in that moment was powerful.”
Brown has previously explained her and Woolard’s decision to lean on God after they started dating. And how that decision changed the trajectory of their relationship, including living apart.
In an Instagram video shared in January, according to Us Weekly, Brown explained their decision to live apart from each other, despite previously living together, in the months leading up to their wedding.
“We, kind of, went on a journey together,” Brown said. “I’ve been a believer, but I think I was really questioning a lot about my faith and in God and my direction. Adam had been searching for a while but didn’t have that.”
“We really had to get honest with like, ‘OK, we say we want to go all in with our relationship, like be completely on fire for God, but what are areas that we’re kind of just like holding back?’” she continued.
“There were a few. I mean, finances were hard for me and just our relationship in general could be tough when it comes to believing and honoring what God has for marriage — and that being living together.”
“We have lived together [since] eight months into our relationship and we decided to just trust God and we are not living in this house together until we get married this summer. It was obviously a big decision and very different and new, but we both separately were having these thoughts in our prayer and just feeling the Lord to call us to do this,” Brown said at the time.
Now, Brown tells People that she is looking forward to making their shared house a home.
“We’re really focusing on making this house a home together,” Brown told People. “Spending time with our families and just having a little bit of a slower pace for just a little bit.”
