An inventor is captivating the Internet after proclaiming to be “under attack.”
Atlanta resident Julian Brown has not been seen since July 9, when he posted a cryptic video via Instagram.
“I can’t go into too much detail but there is some very, very odd stuff going on,” he shared with his followers. “I’m certainly under attack right now in many different ways.”
Julian’s mom, Nia Brown, however, shared a different story on Monday, July 28, and claimed her son is safe.
While his location still remains a mystery to many fans, one thing is clear: Julian has grabbed the attention of many long before his apparent disappearance.
During his career, the inventor gained more than 1.7 million Instagram followers and grabbed the attention of those in the energy field thanks to his unique perspectives and innovations like plastoline — a tool he claims can recycle plastic by turning it into gasoline.

According to Forbes, Julian is the founder of Naturejab and is described as “an innovator in the use of microwave pyrolysis of plastic waste.”
He helped create plastoline, a machine that converts plastic waste into usable fuels such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
Julian previously launched a GoFundMe campaign in hopes of raising funds for his work.
“I have been self-taught in turning plastic into fuel for five years,” his GoFundMe description stated. “Now I will need YOUR help to raise money for the most important upgrade yet.”
Julian is also a 776 Climate Fellow, a program of the 776 Foundation that funds young people who want to “build a better future.”
“What motivated me was seeing the large plastic issue at hand throughout the world and not seeing any obvious solutions that were effective enough to make a difference,” he explained to Forbes. “Plastic is clearly ending up in the oceans and landfills where it is affecting so many lives, including our own.”

On July 9, Julian posted an Instagram video from an undisclosed location and asked his followers to “have your eyes open” in the coming days.
“I just want everybody to know to just kind of have your eyes open,” he said while seemingly driving a moving vehicle. “I have my eyes open but there’s a lot going on. I’m still working. I’m still building. Nothing is going to stop that but I’m just telling you guys right now, be on the lookout because I’m under attack.”
As of press time, the top comment was from a fan who wrote, “Show sign of life bro!”
Some fans also pointed to a cryptic social media post before the 4th of July holiday.
According to the Daily Mail, Julian shared a note via his Instagram Story on July 3 that said, “A SECRET Helicopter found circled me in the middle of NOWHERE… and it gets even scarier — Pray for me please.”

In a rare statement, Nia told the Daily Mail on July 28 that her son is OK.
“I can confirm Julian is safe, but in the best interest of his security, I’m not able to provide any more information,” she said.
When asked for further details, Nia insisted she could not provide more information about her son.
