If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t just hug this young woman. I’d shake her awake.
This shoot broke something in me. I’ve mentioned it before, but here’s the raw truth: A wardrobe person called me “the big girl.” Out loud. Like it was normal. Like it was fine to say that to… pic.twitter.com/sLRTOtgwtl

Battlestar Galactica actress Katee Sackhoff shared her thoughts about the problematic way she was treated during a photoshoot.
Sackhoff took to Twitter to share images from a photoshoot she posed in with Battlestar Galactica co-stars Tricia Helfer and Grace Park. In the post, Sackhoff described the hurt she felt after a costumer referred to her as “the big girl”, saying, “I felt humiliated. Exposed. Disgusting.”
Sackhoff says she wishes she could go back in time and shake her 25-year-old self awake.
“If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t just hug this young woman. I’d shake her awake,” writes the 45-year-old actress. “This shoot broke something in me.”
She goes on to say how a wardrobe person called her “the big girl” right to her face.
“Out loud. Like it was normal. Like it was fine to say that to someone’s face. I was handed one outfit, because nothing else would fit my massive size 6/8 frame. I felt humiliated. Exposed. Disgusting,” writes Sackhoff.
