Gia shared a video on her Instagram writing a letter to Donald Trump asking for his help returning Joe back to the country.
In the video, Gia says that she wants to use her voice for a cause that’s personal to her.
“No matter how strong we try to be, the absence of a father, of a parent, is something that never stops hurting,” Gia says in the video. She went on to share that Todd and Julie Chrisley being pardoned gave her hope for her family and inspired her to speak out on behalf of her father.
On Todd and Julie‘s release from prison, Gia said, “It showed me that people can be forgiven, that families can be restored, and that sometimes, the justice system has room for grace.”
Joe was deported to Italy in 2019 following his 41-month prison sentence for fraud. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star had lived in the US since he was a child and was not aware that he wasn’t legally a citizen.
If you missed it, Gia recently shared an update on some other family drama.
