Jennifer Lopez has new music on the way and some lucky fans got an early listen at a secret event held in Los Angeles this week.

The 55-year-old singer is getting ready to launch her Up All Night international tour and upcoming Las Vegas residency and she’ll be performing brand new songs at the shows.

On Wednesday (July 2), Jennifer debuted six new songs, including the emotional ballad “Wreckage of You,” for a group of her biggest fans. One of those fans revealed what that new song is about.

“‘Wreckage of You’ is a pop ballad that she told us she cowrote and recorded two weeks ago,” attendee Edgardo Luis Rivera told Us Weekly. “She said she was lying in bed after a long day of tour rehearsals when the idea of the song came to her. She mentioned how last year was a very difficult time for her both personally and professionally. She had to cancel her tour and really focus on herself. Fast-forward to one year later, and she feels better and stronger than ever, so she wanted to write a song about coming out of a bad situation much stronger.”

Jennifer “kept thinking of the word ‘wreck’ because it means destruction, but she wasn’t destroyed. In fact, the lyrics of the song are, ‘I’m stronger after the wreckage of you.’”

It sounds like the song could be about Jennifer‘s divorce from ex-husband Ben Affleck.

The other five songs – “Up All Night,” “Regular,” “Free,” “Save Me Tonight” and “Birthday” – were all upbeat tracks.

Jennifer told the fans that while she plans on performing the new songs at her live shows, she “didn’t know yet how or if she would release them.”
