Nelly has proudly declared that changing diapers is women’s business — or at least no business of his — as if he’s not capable of being an energetic, functioning modern dad in the year 2025.

- In the couples new reality show We Belong Together, Nelly reveals he has not and will not change his sons diaper saying “Baby, I’ll give you the world. I just ain’t changing no diaper. I ain’t even gonna lie. You know I ain’t got nothing for him.”
- Later on in the episode in a scene with his friends he admits that until his son can talk, he is not interested in any caretaking saying, ‘Until he can say, “I’m hungry… I need to use the bathroom,” It’s gonna be a lot on your lap… Enjoy. Cause as soon as he get walking and talking, he with the crew.”
- Ashanti and Nelly then have a discussion on how he’s able to ignore his cries in the night, with Nelly claiming, “I’m blessed with the tune out.”
- The couple previously split due to cheating (on his part), but she took him back. Nelly also is a big fan of the current Administration and performed at the inauguration.
