As Jimmy Kimmel takes each summer off from his show, a rotation of guest hosts step in. The first guest host this year is Diego Luna, who started his week as host with a heartfelt monologue about his relationship to the city of Los Angeles, being embraced by the immigrant community there, and how horrible it is that immigrants are living in fear throughout the US in the midst of ICE raids.
The video also includes a fundraiser for KIND (Kids In Need of Defense), an organization whose mission is to ensure no child enters immigration court without high quality legal counsel and to promote greater legal protection for children. If you are able and willing to donate, click here.
Luna’s Andor co-star Adria Arjona also appeared on the episode to talk about her grandmother immigrating from Guatemala to the US. On a lighter note, they also discussed the secrecy around Andor‘s scripts and her first audition for the show.
