Maren Morris is sharing one thing about getting divorced she finds “weird.”
The 35-year-old country star was a guest on Jake Shane‘s Therapuss podcast on Wednesday (June 18). During the episode, she opened up about her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Hurd.
According to Maren, one thing she didn’t expect about getting a divorce is the way the mutual friends she shared with ex Ryan would react.

“In Nashville, you know I’ve been divorced for a little over a year now. It’s a small town, and we’re all friends, and we all work together, and the music industry is very tiny there,” Maren said during the podcast episode.
She went on to tell Jake about how “weird” it is to have friends “pick sides” even though she says she’s “friendly” with her ex.
“I saw a really close friend of my ex’s at a bar a couple months ago, and I was with my best friend. We all used to hang out together for a decade or more and then it’s like, ‘Damn, it’s just going to be kind of weird.’ Maybe it’s just going to be weird for the first few years,’” the “Girl” singer revealed on the podcast.
