TMZ reports that Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun are expected to resolve their financial dispute in the coming weeks, all seemingly thanks to his wife Hailey and the sale of her company Rhode for $1 Billion.
An independent audit conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), confirmed Justin owed Scooter $8.6 million in unpaid commissions. Braun has waived payment of the entire amount.
Justin received a $40 million advance from AEG for his Justice tour, which was cancelled early in 2022. AEG demanded he repay $26 million of the advance. That’s when Braun’s company, Hybe, agreed to pay AEG the amount owed. In turn, Justin would repay Hybe over the next 10 years… however he only made one payment and then stopped.
“We’re told Scooter’s company wants Justin to cough up the $26 mil, and now that Hailey Bieber is flush with cash after selling her beauty company, Rhode, we’re told Justin has agreed to make good on the debt,” writes TMZ.
Justin also owes $11 million in various commissions that he didn’t pay Scooter over the years (not included in the PwC audit), and according to sources, Scooter is willing to settle for “pennies on the dollar.”
