Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart called off their divorce earlier this year amid his diagnosis with ALS, and he recently gave an update on the state of their relationship.
For some backstory, in March, the 53-year-old actress requested the dismissal of her divorce petition against the 52-year-old Euphoria actor more than 7 years after she initially filed. If you don’t know, they married back in 2004 and share two daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13.

During an interview with ABC, which aired this week, Eric said, “I call Rebecca. I talk to her every day. We have managed to become better friends and better parents. And she is probably my biggest champion, my most stalwart supporter, and I lean on her.”
This week, Eric also walked the red carpet with a woman rumored to be his girlfriend, Janell Shirtcliff.
In April, Rebecca shared an update on her relationship with Eric.
“We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great coparents,” Rebecca told E! News on April 9. “We really figured out the formula to staying a family and I think our kids are benefiting greatly from it and we are as well.”
Rebecca went on to admit that she and Eric have encountered many ups and downs throughout their relationship.
“I think it’s important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It’s just a season. It wasn’t a failure. It was a huge success,” Rebecca explained. “We were married for, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful kids so I think that’s a successful relationship, and that’s how we look at it.”
