Fans who check out movies these days are often expecting something in the credits, so audiences will wonder if they should stick around. Many movies these days, especially ones that are part of a franchise, will include extra footage at the end to tease future installments or to give audiences some bonus content.
Materialists follows a young, ambitious New York City matchmaker who finds herself torn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex, and naturally, there’s a lot of speculation about how the movie ends.

We can confirm that YES, there is a post-credits scene during the movie Materialists – and you’re not going to want to miss it.
At the end of the movie, Dakota‘s character Lucy does end up with Chris’ character John. The film ends with him proposing to her with a makeshift ring made out of a flower.
The end credits shows a busy city hall with people waiting to get married. And if you look closely, you can see Dakota and Chris’ characters sitting on a bench filling out paperwork to get married there. Eventually they walk in to get married and leave as newlyweds right before the credits finish rolling.
Dakota actually called out a late night host for almost spoiling the ending!
