Addison Rae is gearing up for the release of her debut album Addison!
The 24-year-old TikTok star turned actress and singer has released an EP previously, but this will be her first full-length album, with a very different sound than the very poppy AR EP.
She has already released a handful of singles, including “Diet Pepsi,” “High Fashion,” “Aquamarine,” “Headphones On” and the latest, “Fame Is a Gun.”
Ahead of the album’s release, Addison is opening about the self-title of just Addison, and not using “Addison Rae.”

“Well, I think for me, if you got introduced to me as Addison Rae, as most people did, I think you will always know me as that. I think for me and what making music is doing for just my own soul and heart is bringing me back to like the core of everything,” she said on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music 1. “I think Addison Rae, yes, is a part of me and that will always be a part of who I am. There are elements of me that are obviously Addison Rae and encapsulate what people have created as who Addison Rae is. I think, for me, it was all about coming back to the center of it all, which is just Addison. I don’t know, I think in my life nobody ever called me Addison Rae. That wasn’t a thing.”
She then recalled a moment of going back home and having someone from high school introduce her as Addison Rae.
“I actually had an experience where I went home, a few years ago maybe, and somebody that I went to high school with was like, ‘Yeah, this is Addison Rae.’ I was like wait no,” she said. “It was with the best intentions, but it did hurt me because I was like, ‘You know me more than that.’ I think that definitely made me realize a lot of things whenever that happened ’cause I was just like whoa, that actually kind of shows me in a way, the way that they decide to view me. It’s like, oh, they’ve taken on the approach that I’ve just changed with Hollywood or something.”
Previously, Addison noted that she feels like “I’ve surpassed Addison Rae. It’s just Addison now.”
Addison‘s album is set to be released THIS Friday (June 6), along with the music video for “Times Like These.”
If you missed it, it was also revealed this week that her next movie, Animal Friends with Ryan Reynolds, has been delayed until summer 2026, after originally being set for October 2025.
